The final countdown

This last month has been so incredible and so crazy at the same time! I am 23 days out from getting on a plane and heading to Africa, I cannot believe how fast it came. My visa came back with no problems and got all of my immunizations all set. Now I am getting all my items checked off of my list and I am going to get started packing all of my stuff. We have a 10+ hour layover in Washington DC and I am so excited because I have never been there. There is a rep. That will be meeting us at the airport when we arrive in Uganda. It's kind of. A waiting game right now. There is so much I want to accomplish before I go and not enough time. The Uganda medical mission is getting back today and I am so excited to hear how God used them there and how bad those bathrooms really are. My last day at Blu Berry is drawing near and is making me sad- I truly have the most amazing crew that is so dedicated and so willing to chip in anyway they can. I worked with my friend Amanda tonight and we have decided that we are already planning my next adventure to Ireland. I am so amazed at God and how powerful he is. He is doing a great thing in me and I can't wait to show others why I do what I do. Just a few more things on my shopping list and then I am set to head out. So crazy that all of my college aged friends are all leaving for college and getting ready to start their classes and I am getting ready to leave the country NBD. God is so good.

Orientation

A couple weekends ago Hannah and I spent a couple days in San Diego with Hannah's mom! We learned everything w need to know about EAC and met the founder-Wilson, who actually grew up being a sponsored child through Compassion international and battled with his faith between Christianity and the prominent impact of his families beliefs. We also got to meet the two other American girls (Dylan and Myliegh) who we will be spending most of our time with. I am getting so excited and to be honest I am already missing my family and friends. Here are a few pics from our orientation. (:

Luggage

Today I bought some luggage from Marshall's!! I am in contact with ministry travel which is an organization that helps find cheap flights. Hopefully our departure date will be Sept. 10th (ish)

The waiting game

Hi Bloggers
I just wanted to drop in and say thank you for all of your support- I am getting really excited to embark on my missions trip! I will be setting a date soon to fly off soon, also making an appointment to get all of my shots-Ouch! (Not looking forward to that) God has been doing some serious growing in my life and reminding me that he is in control.

***Financially I am over half way there- thanks to the grace of God and all of your support!!

Recently I was accepted into Grand Canyon University and will be attending GCU in the fall of 2014. I will be studying nursing and continuing my passion for photography.

What's next if you have already donated?
Prayer! And LOTS of it- I cannot get there and accomplish what He wants me too without your prayers. Some specific ways you can be praying for me is:

-the rest of the financial support
-the God will be shaping my heart right now
-the people I will meet
-waiting on His timing and not my own
-continual meditation on His word
-encouraging others
-contentment right now while I am waiting
-focus in my last couple months at school

Again thank you for all your support- couldn't do this without you!! Talk to you soon.
